horror #1: dental checkup

Assalamualaikum w.b.t.

Banyak betul checkup aku buat lately ni. Checkup gigi ngan ambik blood test for HIV. HIV kau. k 2 checkup je xbanyak pun.

It all started last week on thursday. We found a place for dental checkup. A recommended place of course. Kat egypt ni jangan la pandai-pandai main tuju je. Tanya dulu senior-senior mana tempat yang okay. Yang horrornya lagi, dentist kat sini sangat ganas. Aku kalau xterdesak xnak saksikan keganasan tu. TAPI, nak buat braces kat sini sangat murah. 6000 LE = RM3000. Atas bawah okey. Tinggal cari dentist yang x 18SG je. Selepas selesai buat bancian braces kat mana yang paling murah+dentist yang graceful, kitorg g la kedai gigi tu. Dr. Farouq al-Angbawiy.

Kawan aku yang pegi semua pakai braces. Dengar2 je murah, mak diorg bagi one shot permission. Mak aku:

Aku: Ma!Braces murah giler kot kat sinii.

Mama: Berapa?

Aku: RM3000 je atas bawah pulak tu! murah kan? kat Malaysia paling2 4000 5000 ringget. Untung buat kat sini.

Mama: ok ganti dengan tiket flight.

xmauuu!

So kumpul lah duet dulu. Lagipun gigi aku xteruk sangat. Boleh makan lagi, boleh cakap lagi, kalau senyum pun, orang leh cair lagi.

Dah selesai kawan2 aku buat, turn aku lak. Takut+excited sikit. Dapat dentist blondie+mata biru = hensem. yeayy. :D

Dia usha3 dia pun tanya, "So what are you not happy about your teeth?" meaning aku punya gigi elok je kot selain gigi susu tu. Ya, i was a kid until yesterday! Baru hilang gigi susu. :D

Gigi susu aku ni(bawah depan), dia xnak tercabut walaupun gigi kekal yang bawah dia tu dah keluar habis. Satu hari aku makan ayam, dia terpatah. ouch! dia PATAH bukan tercabut. Akar masih ada kat dalam. Tu yang kena buang, takut infection.

Aku: Can you just remove the milk teeth?

Dr. Hensem: Yes, but you need to go x-ray first, we need to know how deep is the root

Aku: :O

Another benda yang aku rasa horror. Aku xpernah pegi x-ray. And macam-macam aku pike. Kalau jadi gene mutation mcm mana? Kalau chromosome aku jadi trisomy 21 macam mana? Ish, minor exposure to x-ray xbagi kesan pape sangat pon lah, aku tenangkan diri sendiri. And so i'm off to x-ray department near the kedai gigi.

Back to the dentist.

DH: *Sambil pegang x-ray pic* Okay we'll extract the milk teeth and we'll put braces to close the space.

Aku: =.=. I need to wear braces?(pakai bawah je pon kan, 3000 LE.RM1500.hurm3 aku kumpul duit je lah.)

DH: Yes, and we have two types of braces, the transparent one and the metal one. Of course, the price will be different.

Aku: How much is the transparent one?

Braces yang transparent. Bukan retainer tau ni.

DH: 8000LE. The metal will be 6000.

Aku: 6000? Not 3000?

DH: Both up and down, 6000.

Aku: I need to wear on both side? O.O (6000.6000.tiket flight.)

DH: Yes, if not, you won't be able to close your mouth.

Aku: *sigh*.ok.For now, can i just do the extraction? I'll do the braces later.Till i have enough money.

i'll save up!

DH: We have another problem here. *tunjuk dekat gigi geraham*.All your wisdom teeth won't come out. You have to do surgery to extract them out.

Nak pakai braces pun semput. Surgery? Kbai.

Aku: Can i just leave them there?

DH: Yes, you dont have to do surgery now or tomorrow but you have to get them out because someday you will wake up with so much pain. The extraction we'll  do it tomorrow. Ok?

Aku: Ok..*sigh*

And so does the checkup end. And so does the horror continues.
